The European Development Days (EDD) is a yearly event arranged by the EU-commission together with whichever country is holding the EU presidency. In 2009 RFSU and Marie Stopes International arranged a seminar in Stockholm called ”Sexual and reproductive health in distress”. The seminar focused on how people’s sexual and reproductive health can be addressed during humanitarian disasters.
Also, RFSU arranged the seminar “Key to Survival: Defending Human Sexual and Reproductive Rights”, in cooperation with the French government. Leading human rights activists and experts from countries in the Southern hemisphere shared their knowledge and experiences of working with human rights and SRHR issues in difficult situations such as conflict and post-conflict regions.
