Our organisation
The Swedish Association of Sexuality Education (RFSU) is a democratic membership organisation without party-political, trade union or religious affiliations. Here is a brief description of how RFSU is organised.
Our mission
RFSU's mission is to contribute to a world in which everyone is free to enjoy and make decisions about their own bodies and sexuality. We do this through knowledge, mobilisation, and policy advocacy.
The association and the congress
RFSU's highest decision-making body is the Congress. The most recent congress took place in June 2023. The activities are led by the Executive Board.
The president of RFSU is Lina Fridén.
The Secretary General of RFSU is Ingela Holmertz.
The parts of the organisation
- There are about 20 local branches throughout the country.
- RFSU owns the company RFSU AB.
- RFSU runs a clinic, RFSU-kliniken, at Rosenlundsgatan 9 in Stockholm.
- At RFSU's head office, sexuality educators, experts, lawyers, and communicators work on our issues.
- Ottar is RFSU's magazine, Sweden’s largest magazine on sexual politics.
